Adena Springs Farm, Versailles


Adena Springs is a stud farm with seven sires. Alphabet Soup is a 14-year-old stud with a $10,000 stud fee.


Touch of Gold is a 9-year-old with a stud fee of $50,000. He won the Belmont Stakes as a 3-year-old, and won more than $1 million in his racing career.



The breeding room at Adena Springs has padded walls and soft footing. The tour guide is pointing toward the area the mares are kept. At his feet is a pair of boots that fit on the mare's back hooves to prevent major injury to the stallion.



The stately office greets visitors at Adena Springs. Adena has several farms around Kentucky totaling 2,200 acres. There are also 400 brood mares on the farm.
