The Beef Improvement Federation annually presents a research symposium and annual meeting, along with tours of the area, in a different locale each year. This year's event, "Gateway to Profit," is headquartered in Columbia, Mo. Bob Weaber, University of Missouri, and Ben Eggers of Sydenstricker Genetics, Mexico, Mo., are co-chairmen of the Missouri BIF Planning Committee.

The Beef Improvement Federation was formed more than 40 years ago as a means to standardize beef cattle performance programs and methodologies and to create greater awareness, acceptance and usage of these concepts of genetic improvement.
